Globalno gledano je transportni sektor odgovoren za največji delež vseh emisij toplogrednih plinov. Podobno lahko pri organizaciji razstave, ki razstavlja dela z vsega sveta, velik delež emisij izhaja iz transporta razstavljenih del, zlasti če je prevoz opravljen z letalom. Zato je zelo pomembno, da pošiljanje načrtujemo vnaprej in s tem pridobimo dovolj časa za železniški ali pomorski transport.

Da bi vpliv na okolje še dodatno zmanjšali, so muzeji in galerije začeli iskati alternativne načine predstavljanja del. Obstaja mnogo pristopov, ki znižujejo emisije ogljikovega dioksida povezanih s transportom: od prenosa v živo do video dokumentacije in digitalne ali fizične reprodukcije. Za vsak projekt je seveda potrebno natančno razmisliti o pristopu, da bo izbrano delo javnosti najbolje predstavljeno.

Sledeč tem načelom, je bila za projekt CoolAnt Facade indijskega Studia Ant, jeklena nosilna struktura izdelana v Ljubljani. Z izbranim pristopom se je zmanjšala velikost in teža zabojnika razstavnega dela prepeljanega iz Indije. Da bi emisije ogljikovega dioksida  bile čim nižje, naj bi preostale keramične plošče opravile 21-dnevno potovanje od Noide do Ljubljane po morju in cesti. Na žalost jih je bilo treba zaradi časovne stiske in zapletov pri izdelavi prepeljati z letalom. Slednje je povzročilo 34-krat več emisij kot bi te bile, v primeru sprva načrtovanega pomorskega transporta.

From a global perspective, the transportation sector is accountable for the largest part of all greenhouse gas emissions. Similarly, when organising an exhibition showcasing works from all around the world, a large portion of the overall emissions can come from shipping and transport of the exhibited works, especially when transported by plane. That is why it is very important to plan your shipping ahead, scheduling enough time to allow for rail or sea transport.

To reduce this impact even further, museums and galleries have started searching for alternative ways to present works. From live-streaming to video documentation and digital or physical reproduction, there are numerous approaches that avoid CO2 emissions linked to transport. However, careful elaboration is required to find the approach for each individual project, one that communicates it as best as possible.

By these principles, the steel support structure for the project CoolAnt Facade by Ant Studio was made in Ljubljana to minimise the size and weight of the crate imported from India. To keep the CO2 emissions as low as possible, the remaining ceramic tiles were to take a 21 day journey from Noida to Ljubljana by sea and road. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and complications in production, the tiles had to be transported by plane, resulting in 34 times the emissions of sea travel.
